« Captains courageous » by Rudyard Kipling
This is one of his most beautiful novels, thanks to which I discovered his work. Unfortunately, people mainly know Kipling throughout this image given by Disney, while he was a genius writer, Nobel price for literature winner in 1907 at the age of 42 only, « in consideration of the power of observation, originality of imagination, virility of ideas and remarkable talent for narration which characterize the creations of this world-famous author ».
To my eyes, one cannot tale in a more captivating fashion the dangerous adventure of the rude life of « Terre-Neuvas », in the icy fogs of Northern Atlantic.
